(June 24th, 2022) For almost 20 years, Parscan has stood for versatile spotlights at Erco that deliver a high quality of light from cylindrical housings. With Parscan 48V, Parscan InTrack and Parscan OnTrack, the new generation now includes three product families with several sizes and many equipment options:In order to optimally illuminate exhibits in museums or galleries, architects and lighting planners use spotlights on power rails today, as they have for generations. But even in modern business premises, such systems are used to set light accents, to flood wall surfaces or to emphasize the functional areas in foyers with brightness contrasts.Familiar details ensure that the new Parscan generation is recognizable: for example the angled mounting bracket, which fits flush into the housing when the radiator is aligned vertically downwards - see also the article "ERCO presents the new Parscan radiator family" from 07.04.2004.Progress, on the other hand, is reflected in visibly increased effectiveness and light quality, more flexibility in use and more digital control. In the Parscan spotlights, for example, Erco uses revised, more precise and finely structured Spherolit lenses for light control - in no fewer than 12 practical light distributions, which can be exchanged without tools as compact lens units:According to Erco, the quality of the Spherolit optics cannot be adequately expressed in lumens per watt (lm/W), as this only describes how much light leaves the luminaire. What is more important, however, is the visual impression of a stray light-free, uniform and powerful light cone: Parscan spotlights should therefore be leaders in terms of illuminance on the target area, expressed in lux per watt (lx/W).In other words: Spherolit technology can only provide light where it should be to a particular degree. The heaters will be launched in the three sizes XS, S and M, with further sizes from L to XXL for Parscan InTrack to follow in the course of the year. The three Parscan families also cover different applications:For all Parscan, ERCO offers a choice of six LED light spectra with color temperatures from 2700K to 4000K and a color rendering index (Ra) of up to 97 at 3000K.If even finer gradations are required, there are four conversion filters available as accessories - or Tunable White or RGBW variants for colored lighting design. In addition to five rotationally symmetrical distributions from narrow spot (5°) to extra wide flood (82°), the 12 light distributions also include special optics ...There are also six control types to choose from: wired with Multi Dim, DALI, Push Dim or phase dimming and wireless with Casambi Bluetooth or Zigbee 3.0.Three plug-in add-on control units create additional flexibility.By exchanging these control elements on the back of the light, the control type can be changed at any time, for example from manual dimming using the rotary control on the light (on-board dim) to the Casambi Bluetooth radio control.Further information on the Parscan radiator family can be requested by e-mail from Erco.see also for additional information:back ... overview news ... overview brochures ...
